A circle of knots around something worth keeping. Halo is a handmade macramé necklace in fine cotton cord, worked closely around a seashell pendant and finished with 24k gold-plated brass beads. The knotting sits like a setting, holding the shell without hiding it.
Part of our macramé collection, a set of seven pieces made using a knotting technique that dates back to 13th century Arab weavers, who finished their textiles by hand-knotting the loose threads into fringe.
